Washed, uncarded wool fiber. 

Llama and alpaca fiber is grease-free, light weight, and luxurious. The alpaca fiber is especially soft and warm. Llama and alpaca fiber is popular with spinners, knitters, weavers, and other crafters. Shepherds Bay fiber is hand sorted to remove neck and leg wool, leaving only clean, soft fibers with very little vegetable matter. 

Shepherds Bay fiber is sold by color. Each batch of fiber may vary slightly in color, texture and crimp, so please try to order as much as you need for your project at one time. All wool, fleece, and fiber come from our own flock. Fleeces are skirted to remove unusable and dirty portions. The fiber is hand sorted and carefully washed here at Shepherds Bay Farm. No chemicals are used in the cleaning of our wool.
